Manumoulding machines are incredibly versatile, and are operated partially by hand, allowing fine attention to detail and close quality control, making it ideal for iterating on designs. Manumould manufacturing is ideal for low volume production, such as sampling, prototyping, research and development. PMP can produce as little as a single component in a production run – this has the benefit of rapid iterating and testing of prototypes until a final version is selected
Precise and cost-effective manufacturing
Manumolding is an economical process where cores and inserts can be removed or unwound by hand, thus eliminating the use of complicated and expensive hydraulic unscrewing systems or mechanisms – instead relying on the experienced hands of our expert staff! This has the benefits of lower cost, while also giving our specialist operators more control, ideal for designs that require manual intervention and assessment, such as prototyping.
Although these machines use inserts and loose cores, this does not create a problem for us – at PMP we specialise in this type of insert moulding. Our operators are highly skilled with this process including the use of inserts, core pullers and undergoing multiple operations.

We also provide 3D printed components in a variety of materials and different levels of finish, to help aid the prototyping and characteristic selection process.

What is manumoulding?
Manumoulding is a manual form of plastic injection moulding typically used for small-scale production or prototype development. Unlike automated injection moulding, where machines handle most of the process, manumoulding involves manual operations such as manually clamping the mould, injecting the molten plastic, and removing the part. This process is often used when full-scale automation is not cost-effective, particularly in low-volume production or when complex mould designs are being tested.
