Flexible tooling options to support your budget

Injection moulding is the preferred process for many manufacturers, offering cost-effective precision parts production through to large engineering components.

Tooling costs can be an expensive element to the process, particularly with prototyping and lower volumes.

PMP offer flexible solutions to help, boasting a well equipped in-house toolroom and a strong supplier partnership, we can modify, repair, and maintain existing tooling, or when a new tool is required, PMP can offer cost-effective options for pre-production prototyping, low to medium volumes through to high volume production, ensuring the right material is used for the appropriate task.

For pre-production and low volumes PMP can produce a soft tool capable of a few thousand cycles, for medium volumes, longer tool-life is required where pre-toughened materials are used, finally for higher volumes, PMP use fully hardened tooling materials.

Sometimes design complexity or multiple components require several mould tools, in most cases PMP can combine this into a family tooling solution.

Alternatively, we even can use our own bolsters which support new cavity kits and working cores, creating a new far more cost-effective tooling option.
