Founded in 2006, they operate throughout the UK, Europe, and America, delivering a complex and innovative service that meets the needs of their blue-chip customer base.
The Brief
PMP were approached by the Cennox group to provide a specific moulded component from an existing prototype. PMP’s challenge was to take this single machined sample and turn it into a full, high quality, low volume production run, as there were no drawings or files in existence for this one piece, PMP set about providing Cennox with a complete start to finish service.
The Solution
PMP analysed the sample, measuring every minute detail to create an accurate 3D model, data was then produced enabling PMP to create an SLA for assessment. The next critical stage is tooling, with PMP’s experienced staff designing the production mould tool and producing pre-production components for inspection and approval. Following the approval from Cennox, PMP pressed on with production, using PMP’s efficient manufacturing processes, allows even low volume production to be highly cost-effective and offers a fast turnaround. Manufacture final production components using various translucent polycarbonate colours for different end users.
The Result
Material selection is a critical part of the design process. Without proper consideration of your injection moulding materials, your design may fall short of its expectations. We have previously worked with businesses who were getting inconsistent quality from other suppliers. This won’t be an issue with PMP.
