Our insert moulding is an innovative process which involves inserting a material – usually metal – into the moulding tool and then overmoulding with plastic. This creates a strong mechanical bond and produces excellent durability in the final piece.

Volume Up
PMP can offer both low and medium volume insert moulding. We utilise a Manumould machine for low volume that allows us to insert pieces manually into the moulding process. This method has the advantage of low-cost tooling, ideal for prototyping.
For medium volume, we use a Boy plastic injection machine. This automates the process by only requiring loading at the start, while still giving the level of close control and flexibility of a medium volume process.
