PMP appoints Neil Southam as Business Development Manager
We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Neil Southam as our new Business Development Manager.
Neil joins with over 35 years of experience in plastic injection moulding under his belt, where has covered all aspects of the process, including toolmaking, polymer technology, tool trials, project management and much more. He also has experience working with tooling procurement across the UK, Europe, China and the USA, and we look forward to him utilising the skills he has cultivated over the years across PMP.
In his role as Business Development Manager, Neil will play a key role in driving growth for the plastic injection moulding business by identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, they will develop and execute sales strategies, lead client meetings and negotiations, and collaborate with technical and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Neil’s journey to PMP
Beginning his career in 1978 as an Apprentice Toolmaker at CMA Tools, Neil has worked across a variety of roles at a number of plastic injection moulding companies based around the UK. He has also been employed across various other manufacturing industries, including electronics, medical and automotive. He has extensive experience in taking tooling projects from concept through to production, working with a variety of polymer types and serving end-use customers both in the UK and internationally.
Away from work, Neil enjoys DIY, hiking and fell walking. He also loves to travel and has visited many countries around the world for both holidays and business meetings.
